Alfred Hole Goose Sanctuary and Interpretive Centre

Located at PTH 44, slightly east of Rennie. The sanctuary protects nesting Canada geese each spring. The interpretive centre provides information about the biology of the geese and the history of the sanctuary, as well as an observation gallery for the lake and interpretive programs

Meteor Crater West Hawk Lake

These falls are a favourite stop for photographers and anglers. The falls are accessible at the end of the White Lake subdivision road. There is a wheelchair accessible dock and pit privy.

West Hawk Museum

Located at West Hawk Lake, features exhibits about the area’s geology, area gold mining, and the formation of the lake from the impact of the meteorite that formed the West Hawk crater.

Whiteshell Busk Stop

Whiteshell Fish Hatchery

PR 312, at northern end of West Hawk Lake
At the Whiteshell Fish Hatchery, trout, walleye and other species such as sturgeon are raised to replenish lake stock. Interpretive exhibits showcase information about fish biology and management. School programs and group bookings available.

Whiteshell Trapper’s Museum

Located on the grounds of the Alfred Hole Goose Sanctuary. Built in 1997, the museum resembles a fur trapper’s cabin. Interpreters discuss the history of fur trapping, trapping techniques, and local wildlife.
